Albanian cinema had a strong presence at this year’s Sarajevo Film Festival, with two remarkable projects. Fantasy by director Kukla Kesherovic, following its world premiere in Locarno, had its regional premiere in Sarajevo, featuring Albanian actors Suela Bako, Romir Zalla, and Rozafa Çelaj, and capturing the attention of both critics and audiences. Man of the House by director and screenwriter Andamion Murataj, premiered globally at the festival, offering a powerful reflection on identity and human experience. As a co-production between several European countries, the film was warmly received with great interest and emotion. Two films, two different approaches, yet one shared message: the strength of Albanian art in building cultural bridges and being an active part of European cinema.
