In an open-air exhibition set in the Swiss Alps, artist Sislej Xhafa presents “family album Woven Soil”, part of the SAC Art Exhibition at Gemmipass, Switzerland, on view from July 6 to October 12, 2025. Known for his conceptual and often ironic approach to social and political themes, Sislej Xhafa explores identity, migration, and belonging through unconventional artistic expressions. Born in Peja and currently active in Italy and internationally, he remains one of the most prominent contemporary artists of Albanian origin. This outdoor installation brings intimate imagery into a remote alpine setting, offering a poetic reflection on memory and roots.
