“Holding” is the new exhibition by artist Gerta Xhaferaj, in collaboration with Sophia Eisenhut and with a contribution by Arnisa Zeqo, curated by Yana Kadikova, presented at Courtney Jaeger, Basel during Kunsttage. The exhibition explores memory, space, and intimacy through a dialogue between visual art and performance, creating a space of reflection on holding, care, and fragility. Gerta Xhaferaj is a visual artist and researcher working between Tirana and Basel. Her practice investigates the relationship between body and space, and the ways in which art can become a medium of communication and collective experience. Supported by Culturalb and the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation (MEKI), as part of ongoing efforts to highlight Albanian contemporary art on the international stage.
